and therefore work in McCain's Favor....!!!!

Women in this country have become sensitive to the media's treatment of Hillary...and if the media and blogs continue to attack a 17 year old child and a girl...I think this will have a serious back-lash...

I mean no one attacked Chelsea in her mother's campaign..and she was of adult age...

Wow...

I think this is territory that far-left libs better was not charter into

  1. Hey, Tellem, I've got two things to say about your comment about the Democratic "programs",

    1) I bet Palin's daughter turns FIRST and FOREMOST to herself, her soon-to-be husband, her family, her friends, her church and her local community BEFORE (if EVER) she turns to Federal Government Programs. And,

    2) I/we/she didn't ASK for your programs to be implemented at the expense of the taxpayers.

  2. No.  An underage pregnancy is bad parenting by most standards, especially when she was picked for her family values.

  3. Patriarchal societies attack women blatantly. How come there is no other juicier morsel of info than this? Palin's child's situation is a very real example of what happens all over the world, not only America. It also highlights that a woman is only perceived through the eyes of her reproductive capability. Where is the guy who knocked her up? Why is he not held accountable as well?

As long as men remain at the core of all institutions in every country in the world, the disadvantageous situation of women will continue unabated.

  4. I certainly think that Palin should be judged as a bad mother on this one.  Her daughter should be off limits.

This whole thing raises some questions,

    A) Palin went into this campaign knowing her daughter was pregnant, what does this say about her as a mother?  As a strong believer in Family Values?

    B) Look at the state of s*x education in the States and Palin supports abstinence only s*x ed.  Don't you think this came back and bit her in the a$$?

    C) Did McCain know about this?  If he did he's got judgment as bad as Palin.  If not he didn't do a very good background check on his VP (who would step in if he died need I remind you) and should be criticized for that.

  5. you make no sense!!

no one else's kid got knocked up!

Sarah is to blame for putter her kid out there in her time of need.

mccain and palin are to blame for all of this Bristol bashing!!

    they dont care about her

  6. you're right.  chelsea is of age.  she made it all the way to adulthood w/o getting knocked up.  alaska can't be THAT boring, can it?

  7. More "desperate" than anything else.  The selection of Palin caught Democrats and the news media totally flatfooted, and after 3 days this is all they've been able to dig up.

  8. Yes, there will be, how many people across the USA have experienced a situation like this, even Obama's mother, for heavens sake. We do not appreciate using children in this manor for political points. This is a child's life we're dealing with. The democrats come across as crass and uncaring.

  9. Obama has already said that he won't use this in his campaign.

Though it does serve as a great illustration of different policy platforms - Palin obviously didn't make condoms and birth control pills available to her daughter.  This is where abstinence preaching gets you, it works oh-so-well.

So Bristol is starting a family at 17 - I hope she has the resources (both monetary and intellectually) to give her child and all children yet to be conceived a good life.  I really do, that's not sarcasm.  But isn't it ironic that if she does get in over her head, we Democrats will be here waiting with our social programs to help her.

David:  That's great that she has a husband [I can't imagine marrying the guy I was dating at 17, but whatever], a family [hope her mom has time to be there for her], friends, a church and a local community.  Many people aren't so lucky, and don't have anyone to fall back on.  What ticks me off about conservatives like Palin is, they don't want these programs for people who need them, but they also want to preach abstinence to the nation and define birth control pills as "abortive agents," while at the same time outlawing abortion (if they had their way).  So you want to basically guarantee that women who are not in a situation to have a baby should have no way to prevent it, and when they do get pregnant they shouldn't have any way to get help??

And please don't give me "they just shouldn't be having s*x," because that's not going to happen.  Sometimes I think Republicans are living in a dream-world.  Or still think the '50s was the "good ol' days," or something.

  10. Why is it a big deal, who among us as parents, can monitor our childs every action!
