No he made a good decision, although I would have prefered Biden in the Secretary of State position (we can leave that for Kerry or Dodd, both competent).

Hillary would have overshadowed Barack and damaged his sense of leadership of the campaign. And there were fears that due to her own 2012 political ambitions, she would pull a John Edwards 2004 and not campaign hard enough. She also lives in a solid blue state, while Biden "presumably" helps deliver rural Pennsylvania, where he has history. Kaine would have made a better VP being popular in middle class Virginia.

If you are a Hillary supporter, you should be optimistic. The best thing she can do right now is sit back in her Senate seat, not accept a Cabinet position, and wait until 2012 or 2016 to reinvent herself a 3rd time.

Yes, and it will cost him the election. I hate to admit it, bit if he had picked Hillary he probably would've won the election.

Yes, Many Billary supporters will vote for mccain just to smite him. Dumb move.

Picking Hillary would likely have won him the election.  Yes, he made a big mistake (thank goodness).
