In rowing, the Coxswain is the small person who sits at the stern of the boat motivating the rowers, and coordinating the rhythm and power of the rowers. If the rowing crew wins the race, the Coxswain also gets a gold medal. Do you think this is the easiest way (in any Olympic sport) to win a medal at the Olympics?

  1. In some of the team sports when the Gold Medal game is over

(i.e. the team is so far ahead that it can't lose)

they substitute and bring on players that have not had any game time during the tournament.

These players receive a Gold Medal even though they have not contributed to the team winning.

So I'd say being a lower ranked player on a great team is an easier way to win a Gold medal.

At least the Cox is controlling the tactics of the race and has been in the boat for the whole meeting.

  2. Maybe I should try to be one if I don't magically become 6'3 like I'm supposed too (I'm 5'9 and only weigh like 115 without clothes).
