Do you think being pregnant and/or giving birth... or raising a child has matured you?

I have notice that my friends who have children are on a waaay different agenda than my friends without children.... my friends without children are more prone to the party life more than the schooling, my friends with children are more settle down... their getting advance degrees and also taking care of a child and working.... the friends with children seem more complete, while the friends without children seem like their lives are full of confusion... I hear from friends who have children or about to have children say that having a baby made them more mature and less selfish... their mother instinct kick in and their happpier than ever... Now, tell me... sence youve had your baby or if youre pregnant... have you noticed any maturity in yourself since this change(pregnancy, having a baby, raising a baby) of life?... do you think youre more happier being a parent than when youre weren't a parent?...the friend you have without children... Have you distance yourself from them due to your maturity and friend on a different path(good path possibly)?

  1. Yes I was just talking about this same thing with a friend of mine!!

Yes I am pregnant and yes i am more mature then ever. Since being pregnant we rarely go to bars/parties any more and have started nesting at home. I have distanced from friends that personally i don't morally agree with. Its odd that bringing a child into this world can make you see things clearly.

  2. personally i have always been into partying and fun, and my work, but after i had my baby, it just filled the "void" i suppose, and i didn'tt really feel the need to go out and do the party scene so much, butI'mm still the same person.I'mm laid back, i can be relaxed and mellow and i still love to have a great time on occasion, so it hasn't really changed me. but it has matured me in a lot of ways, because im more responcible, but i dont distance myself from my friends rather they're married or single, schoolastic or party animals...but thats just me.
