  1. As long as "personality" is there, there is bound to be personal God

because personality is fearful and it requires concept of God for security.

  2. It depends on if logic itself has a logical base. If logic can justify itself than there is no logic reason to believe in a personal God. But if logic is just a choice of how to view the world and it has no base to justify itself than anything goes. It maybe illogical to believe in a personal God but who cares if logic itself is ulimately illogical. So if logic has a logical base, a justification of it's method, then it is illogical to believe in a personal God. Is logic at it's core logical?

  3. Yes it is because "God" is differnt to everyone. So if you feel like you have found your own "God" then you should believe in him or her.

  4. I think believeing in anything you always get let down. Like Santa Peter cotton tail aka easter bunny. All those things have an impact on a kid. It is better to know than to beleive so if i know it ican see it so it is logical to know not to believe.

  5. Not at all.  Faith is not based on logic, and neither is unbelief.

Some believers make good arguments for their faith, and some nonbelievers may do the same.  But faith doesn't depend on logic, and there are many faith-filled people who don't even know what logic is.

In the end, faith, I believe, is something you chose to have.  But I couldn't prove that, any more than I can prove God exists, or an atheist can prove God doesn't exist.

  6. yes

  7. Is it a matter of logic, or is it fact?

The mere concept of God would surely mean that He being mighty over all. That would point to Him being Stronger than the strongest, wiser than the wisest, more attractive than anything else attractive, the most beautiful, the best lover, the best friend, the best father, the best son, the best brother, the best teacher, the best artist, the best linguist, the most pleasing to see, hear, touch, smell etc.

The concept of the Lord being Absolute would mean, that whatever we Have He has it in completeness, fullness and unlimitedly. To say God has no form, would mean that he is lees than we are. Would mean that the creator is less than his creation.

The Supreme Personality of Godhead is perfect and complete, and because He is perfect and complete, so many perfect and complete units emanate from  Him. But even though so many complete units emanate from Him, He still remains the complete balance.

The Supreme Lord walks and He does not walk. He is far away but He is very near. He is inside of everything yet He is outside as well, and He can overcome all others running.

But the form of the Lord is not material, it is transcendental. He has a form of eternality, bliss and knowledge.

To say the Lord has no form or personality, is saying He is less than we are. How is that logical? We have arms, legs, head, eyes, ears etc. Where did they come from? The Lord has to have everything we have, but in fullness. All the qualities we have must also be present in the Lord, otherwise where did all ours come from?

It is not a matter of belief or not, it is a matter of fact. If everything else has form and personality, then where did all the forms and personalities come from? What is the source of Personality? There must be a personal source for all other personalities to come from. Personal has never been seen to come from impersonal. I'll leave it there.

    Take care. Best wishes. .

  8. Yes. Once one leaves the field of observable reality (reality that can be observed/measured. Nature vs Supernatural) there are multiple infinities of possibilities.

To pick one and say "I believe this is true" requires a genuine belief that picking one randomly from infinity (actually a multiplex of infinities) can produce an accurate, precise and correct belief, even when that belief declares that of all the infinities of beliefs possible only this one is correct.

It's a logical and mathematical nonsense that no rational thinker should ever fall prey to.

  9. ...hmm, hard question. Remember me? I'm I ;heart Christ or something. But ANYWAYS.... since I am a Christian I believe in the Christian God, so.. I'm not sure. But I do not have a problem with people who do, there is no reason. ^_^' I sort of miss your answers.

  10. Let me ask you Do you believe in yourself. Do you exist. Has it not been said that we are created in the image of god. That does not limit image as to looking like God but his ability to create the universe. And so shall you. Look to your highest thought , your highest feeling, and please don't just here but listen to your soul. the illogical is its denial.

  11. No.  When you believe in a God who is loving, kind, and who has a physical body like you or me, it makes sense.

Yes:  When you  think that God is just a non descript substance that floats around doing good.

No:  When you can see the intricate nature of the universe such as the exact tilt of the earth, and can see that it is illogical to believe that their was no creator of it.

Yes:  When people forget to use their minds and reasoning power and just believe in everything they are told to do and say.

  12. It is not so much that it is illogical.  The problem is that there is nothing but traditions, fear, and social pressure to support the existence of any God.  Believe or die is sort of the mandate that many societies impose on its members.  Belief is a ticket to stay alive and be a member of the society.

So on a practical level it is often necessary to declare the nonsense of Godness and all the elaborate court following of rituals and memorizations that permeate your society and theocratic culture.

There is no logic for or about God or belief other than the practical one of survival.

  13. Since god is an imaginary being that exist in your imagination.

Every god is personal so it is perfectly logical.

  14. Unless the reasoning used to support such beliefs are sound and valid then by definition this would be the case.

I have not encountered any argument for the existence of a god that should be consider personal that meets this criterion.

Though there are good arguments for the possible existence of a concept that is often labeled god, I have encountered none that demonstrate that said agent is personal with out an appeal to make a leap of fallacy.

One should not use the word faith in the stead of pretend as religions often do.

Instead it should be used to mean a thing upon which you trust or rely upon, and such things gain our confidence because they consistently demonstrate that they are worthy of our faith, not simply because it would be nice if it were so or because our parents have passed it on to us, one should not extend the faith we have in our care providers to include an irrational system of belief.
