  1. without a doubt..............i have no clue who has any of the belts in boxing........but you ask me about MMA  UFC , Pride ,IFC , King Of The Cage etc and ill go on for like 30 Min's about who has the belts and who lost &  wants the belts ........ect:

even my father a die hard boxing fan doesent even watch it anymore.but ask him about UFC and chuck liddell this and randy couture that  he freakin loves it........ its here to stay......

  2. yes plus the lack of a good American heavyweight fighter

  3. I don't think its fading in fact i think its improving.

Ever since lennox lewis and mike tyson fought the sport kind of went down the drain. In 2007 we had geat match ups and in 2008 were getting great match ups as well just because floyd and cotto arn't fighting doesn't mean its fading. I'm looking forward to mora vs. forrest

    pavlik vs. lockett

    pacman vs. diaz

    cotto vs. margarito

de la hoya vs. mayweather2 (i'm curious to see the outcome because it will be at welterweight mayweather sr. is back and de la hoya won't have any ring rust considering the fact he just fought.)

I'm a loyal boxing fan i only look at the positives not the negatives. UFC is popular but a fighter on ufc will never make as much as a boxer, mayweather and de la hoya get paid 30 mil-55 mil for one fight while rampage only makes 850,000 per fight

  4. Of course. Before MMA, everyone knew boxers by name, they were huge. Now the only boxers people really know are Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather. And really, only hardcore guys know Floyd Mayweather. But everyone knows who Georges St Pierre is.

Boxing is still a great sport, but it doesn't have the widespread appeal that MMA does.

  5. no it is not.. boxing is an art, mma is not. i dont see the reason for people to get into an 8sided ring and "streetfight" each other, until they fall to the ground and start to hump each other.. It is very stupid.. people who dont know how to box join ufc and such to release their anger because they suck really bad at boxing.. People who box make millions more than ppl who are in the ufc.

  6. yes

  7. No more so than baseball is fading because of football.

  8. I dunno, i've never watched a boxing match my whole life...it's just not popular now

  9. No its fading because there is not a lot of American Champions, mainly heavyweight.... In Mexico boxing is as strong as ever and i imagine in the Phillipines as well....MMA is just another fad like battle dancing and in a few years Most MMA fans will forget like they did 20 years ago when UFC first came out..... Boxing is a Mans sport so the men will never be distracted by lesser sports and MMA is for boys who cant take a punch and want to "wrestle" one another... PPV in boxing is even at all time highs lately on the strength of one at most Two fighters, whereas on MMA they need to put together 6 matches with big names everytime...Boxing is also hurting itself by not putting the Top Fighters against eachother more often but instead lets the fighters pick Bums to keep their Belt and record intact.... but MMA has nothing to do with it....

  10. Well MMA is in the hearts of all the teens and young adults, it's the biggest thing in the World right now so it feels like nothing ells matters to them, boxing, muay thai, wrestling.  It only matters if it is all mixed together.  I'm NOT a big fan of the mma reason being I feel that 75% of the "fighters" in mma can't even through a good kick, or know how to truly Box.  I see guys getting in there acting like an *** and don't know how to truly fight.  So, I dont' know why this is sooooo big right now but YES, MMA is taking the light away from other fighting systems on TV.  But you wona see true fighters, watch K-1.....

Ufc has good stand up fighters BUT,  ALOT of them have NO stand up  !

  11. Well no doubt the UFC is getting really popular, mostly because with boxing its like a cult these days.

Your either in with it, or not.

Its the die hard fans that follow boxing, and know all the champions and so on....

The MMA/UFC is just a different style of fighting most of those guys tried starting in boxing but couldn't make it that far because of the politics and there skill level.

But if you think that boxing is Corrupt, then you dont know the first thing about the UFC, That President Mr. White

Is basiclly raping all the fighters in the ufc.

He gives them like 5% of the money that they should be making. The events make millions yet the fighters make

200,00-500,000  grand a fight, ITS ridiculous....

But no matter what boxing will never die out, say what you want, but PPV events still make millions. And fights still sell out.

Boxing is like americas past time.

Ufc is just a fab in a way, mostly for people who dont have the skill to box,

Remember less is more if you cat use your hands you can grapple, if you cant do that then you can use kicks so on and so on.

Boxing is just hand's you must master every punch and defense style.
