The way Carlton handles Fevola reminds me of the way some parents(?)handle toddler tantrums in the supermarket. They have no idea of how to manage the brat so give him everything he asks for in the hope he will shut up and behave.

And then the poor kinder teacher cops the uncontrollable kids a bit later....as a real life employer will cop Fevola when he retires.

I agree with the other poster talking about the Maggies and Chris Tarrant: in the end, talent is not enough, and we see a Carey type situation - which is what Fevola is facing, given his long history of mucking up in many forms.

A shame that such a talented footballer should be so under done in the qualities needed for a real man - which species exists in all clubs, despite the publicity asserting that all footballers are hoons and bogans.

Carlton are a joke as are a few others who wont punish players, all it does is make teams look like the players are in charge,he should of been made an example of, as geelong done with Johnson.

yeah i do think he got off too easily he should have at least got suspended for 1 match. the only way to teach him a lesson is to give him a good punishment. i reckon they should just get rid of him. look what collingwood did to chris tarrant in the end they just got rid of him. as a collingwood supporter i loved chris tarrant and i never wanted him to go but in the end it was the right thing for the club.
