Do you think calorie restricted diets work?

I am eating only 500 calories a day in hopes of losing 55 pounds by Christmas. I just had a baby 6 weeks ago and really need to shed the excess weight fast.

  1. 500 isnt even enough to live off of.  calorie diets work when you are still eating around 1300 or so but you are being very unhealthy.  what do you eat just bread and water.  

    this wont help you keep weight off cause once you start eating normally again you are gonna blow up


  2. You need to eat at the least 1500-1700 calories.

  3. 500 cal is an extremely restricted diet, but it works I know it from experience. The only diet has ever worked for me is the calorie restricted diet. The good news is if you breastfeed your baby you lose approximately 500 cal by just doing that, so your extra weight should be flying off. This strict diet is hard on your body. I would expect you to lose at least 2, 3 pounds per week.

  4. If you are burning more calories than you are putting into your body...you HAVE to lose weight....HUGS!!  Inches?  Excercise...the ONLY way..HUGS!!
