my opinion?  he should retire now.

He can beat jones, and probably tarver.  He can't beat JT, or pavlik.

He probably has 2 good fights left in him, but each fight he takes he is risking his undefeated record.

nope-he should give carl froch the chance he has been asking for-froch's next opponent (denis inkin) has dropped out-this makes froch the automatic choice for calzaghes next opponent.

but the chances are it will be former ibf holder alejandro berrio.

I think he should retire after the Jones fight (win or lose). Don't become another over the hill fighter.

The guy before me stole my answer - if he fights Roy, he will have to retire.  His body will have never had the shock of being hit so often, can't recover at 37 from the type of beating he's going to get.

he should do whatever he thinks is best for him and his family, just like anyone else

if i was him though what i definitely wouldnt do is make the mistake of many fighters and fight past his sell by date

so maybe that means i think yeah he should retire after hes beaten jones

at this point in time, i think he would beat pavlik, as he is more experienced and pavlik would have to jump 2 weight classes .

i think he has a great chance of beating tarver as well, but if he retires in november, then i  wish him all the best.

h**l he could keep his 0 and retire now then fight jones or anyone else except for tarver. Either win and grab da money or lose da record and still get da money. I change my mind i'd fight jones and retire  ya digg.

There's no need for him to fight any up and comers or guys still trying to make a name for themselves, hes proved his worth over the years so why risk it?!

Joe will do what Joe wants to do but I think he should hang it up after the Jones JR fight and hopefully the bank of Calzaghe will be full enough by then!
