Question:

Do you think cheating on your diet is underrated?

I've seen a lot of questions that say things like "If I cheat on my Wedding day, will that mess up my diet???" or "I only cheated one day, will my diet not work anymore".

I think in order for a diet to work you DO need to stick to it. But cheating on special events (I suppose unless you have birthday party everyday of the year lol) shouldn't be such a big deal.

I'm on atkins. And I've actually gone on the diet lost 20lbs...then gone off of it for like 2 months, and not gained any weight back. Started the diet again...and keep on losing.

And I'm sorry...on my wedding day. I'm stuffing my face with some wedding cake! lol.

Does anyone think people are going to over the top about eating un healthy? or even off a diet?

Its like they think if they eat a well balanced diet for a month, and then pigged out with some friends at a party their whole progress is ruined. When you can just start back up the next day...

What do you all think?

  2. Lots of people think a cheat day will throw them way off base. Not so..if they know anything about diets and what the body needs they wouldn't worry with it. Now mind you, that cheat day doesn't mean eat all junk food all day...everything in moderation...I'm a natural competitive body builder and my diet is right on the money for me...however Sunday is my cheat day...that only means that if I order pizza I can only have one slice.Eat ice cream....only 2 scoops..not a bowl..regular breakfast...2 eggs, not six (like I know I could eat) it's a matter of discipline. if you don't over do it put a cheat day in there...I eat so lean during the week my body actually needs the fat from a nice cheeseburger...and that fat sure taste good...far better then my newspaper flavored fat free items...even knowing that I still do go overboard with it..
