  1. I dont know about fattening but does rot the teeth I was addicted to it and ashamed to say still am i drink up to 3 litres a day. My teeth were replaced by falsys years ago because of coke. Im not fat considering ive had 8 kids im average size for my height. My kids dont drink it as ive seen what it can do to teeth!

  2. maybe

  3. It is bad in a lot of ways, including fattening.

Like others have said, the sugar will just become fat unless it is worked off.  But the trouble is.....that's a LOT of sugar.

Also, the acidity of it will wear away at the enamel of teeth, causing your teeth to first become more sensitive and then decay and fall out.  I used to drink coke a lot when I was younger and my dentist has pointed out how thin the protective enamel on my teeth is.

Lastly, I live by this creedo when it comes to coke:  It is just empty calories with no real nutritional value.

And just to let you know i stopped drinking sodas and just do the math. The most popular soft drink sold nowadays is a 20-ounce bottle or can, which comes to 250 unnecessary calories and about 16.87 teaspoons of sugar. You need to burn 3500 kcals to burn one pound of fat. Usually, you'll be getting high fructose corn syrup, which some researchers now finger as a leading cause of obesity and other health woes. Bear in mind that I'm not even talking about those popular 42-ounce soft drinks promoted at some fast food restaurants and many convenience stores. If you order one of these gargantuan drinks, you'll get about 410 calories and around 35.28 teaspoons of sugar. It's also well known that if you drink soft drinks, you just don't get full or satisfied the way you would from regular food so you may end up overeating and packing in more extra calories. Incidentally, diet drinks aren't any better. Some studies even suggest that the sweet taste in an artificially sweetened soft drink could trigger sugar cravings and lead to weight gain, too. If you're a soda drinker, I urge you to tackle your habit right now, whether it's to lose weight or improve your health.

  5. It's fattening when you drink it to excess because the acid and sugar build up in your stomach and makes it bigger.

  6. Well it's full of sugar, and when sugar doesn't get used up it turns into fat. So if you're one of the greedy types who sits in front of the TV all day drinking bottles of the stuff, yes it's going to be fattening.
