Do you think cornrows on a white girl is pretty? (Like Bo Derek in "10")?

What are your thoughts? Does it scream, "I'm trying to look like a black girl?" or is it just any other hair style?

it screams 'im trying to look ghetto' especially if she doesnt have dark brown hair or if her skin is super pale.

I had cornrows a few times and people commented on them

instead of the traditional ones though, I only do the top of my head, then leave the rest long and unbraided. It looks good like this especially when putting my hair up in a ponytail

At the beach this summer I saw a lot of signs for braids and cornrows, and a lot of little girls running around with them, but usually they just had half of their head done, just above their forehead and temples.  The rest of the hair hung loose.  I think it's trendy right now for young girls, but looks best on black girls.  If a white girl does it, she should not have frizzy hair, and she should also be prepared for a lot of stares, or Bo Derek comments.

I think it looks cool, but I'm sure everyone else thinks its maybe a no-no? I dunno, personally, I think its awesome, but other ppl might not feel the same way.
