Please dont tell me ''l'll just know its that painful!"

This is my 2nd pregnancy. Its been completely different from my 1st. However, I started with back ache on left side two days ago. Yesterday I was ok. Today i have quite strong cramps and been to the loo (alot). I recognise the back pain as durin my 1st pregnancy I got it then 4 days later I had my daughter! They did induce me tho on day 3 as I was 3cm but taking so long to dialate! I seriously dont wanna waste any1's time but cant remember if this is the real thing right now. I can feel it coming and going in periods and it is quite strong but not unbearable. What should I do? I called my midwife yesterday and she said to just get hot bath, take paracetamol for the back pain etc. What should I do? Wait til I'm in agony then go to hospital? Plese help! So tired and confused!

Thankyou!

  1. If you are in unbearable pain and your contractions get closer each time, then that's when you go to the hospital. How far along are you? It does sound like your in the beginning stages of labor. Rest up as much as you can to prepare for the big event! Hang in there & good luck! :)

  2. You should take your midwifes advice - she is the trained professional.

  3. Ok you can be a little uncomfortable at home or a little uncomfortable at the hospital, I always felt a little better in the hospital because I was always afraid that I would have the baby and no one would be around to help... so what makes you feel the best?

Sounds like you are in labor and if you walk around and do some focused squats on a ball or with some support the baby will be coming.

  4. I want to wait as long as I can at home before going to the hospital.

Wait until you cant grin and bear it.

Make sure to keep timing your contractions just in case, they don't get to painful.

I'm having all the same things you are right now, its been almost a week i have been dealing with it, and now I have back pains too.

Nothing is consistent so who knows.

I know how tired you are believe me.. Just take it one step at a time, either lay down and relax,  or go for a little walk. NOT ALONE.. =-)

    Good luck to you hun.

  5. i just went through same thing my doctor checked me and i was ok. he said if pain became unbearable to go to labor and delviery i went there they checked me no changed walked around got checked no change. everyones different but if your not having strong contractions to where u cant walk or talk through i wouldnt go in. thats what they told me. im now due tomorrow and she still wont come out. i have cramping and tons of back pain but im not going till iknow its the real deal . but its ur choice at least call your doctor again and see what she says. if u feel it might be it go. just to ease your  mind they can also give u something for the pain like they did me. good luck and try relaxing i know its hard trust me i am so impatient right now.
