  1. YES!

  2. Though, In Recent Times Only!!!

  3. NO!

  4. India Also Played Football And Hockey (8 time Olympics Gold Medallists).

  5. We Indians have all sorts of talents to play even the tougher games like American Football, Rugby etc. but the fact is our political influence towards the developments of such other games. I agree that there are other games that are played in India but are they popular to which extent? They know that cricket is the popular game in India and even a child know who is Sachin Tendulkar but he doesnt even heard about Danraj Pillai and Baichung Butia. This is the case. Our govt. and sports authorities have to take steps to develop all sorts of games and bring an awareness that not only cricket is important but also other games.

  6. Looks like that

  7. you are wrong. they know many more games

  8. No. You are wrong. Other games like Hockey,Football are also very important.

  9. No, many other games r known to them but at preset India is going with global trend about game of cricket. I don't accept ur view that ppl only want their kids to play cricket so that they can earn in millions when they grow up. Its happening cos almost all over the world this game has been becoming very popular these days.

  10. No it isnt, indians know other sports its just that no one really cares about the other sports. With the corruption there is in cricket, if any other sport got big then there will be more corruption.

  12. a  positive  sign for Indian sports  is---

Nowadays.  there  is more  money than earlier  in Indian football.

T20  cricket  has a chance  of becoming  an Olympic sport, coz

    of it's  short  duration.

The  ACC  and  ICC  are  making an effort.

Indians  should  be  proud of their  cricketing success

They  should  not  undervalue  it just because a few countries

    play  quality  cricket.

  13. yupp! n y nt?? jst luk at history n u'll get all d answers... India doesnt hav a sporting culture - it's true 2 a T! bt cricket has acquired a status in our cuntry...is it nt a sign of a new era???

its difficult 2 compare india n australia - they r poles apart!

nw, u say indians undermine other sports. bt 4 this, jst dnt blame d public. say, if indian hockey was knocked out of d olympics, do u hold BCCI responsible 4 dat???

  14. Thank God they don't have more. Just look how emotional they get over cricket, any more and we could have a war on our hands.

  15. It depends on where the sport originated. English discovered cricket and India knew of it when the English were in India. Cricket is a sport in all of INdian's blood. We are born to like cricket. It's a passion for the cricket that drives us... and never the money. And plus... there are some cricketers who get paid the same as a freakin dentist or the other.

I hope you know that cricket pays less than football, basketball, rugby, baseball, golf, tennis... or any other popular sport... so this rules out the idea of: "people only want their kids to play cricket so that they can earn in millions. blah, blah blah" Please check the stats and figures before you make ignorant comments.

Cricket is a sport that requires skill, brains, stamina and patience. This is why i think that cricket is truly a sport deserving the attention it recieves in countries like India, England, Australia and the West Indies.

And finally, just because it isn't in the olympics doesn't mean it isn't a "worthy" sport. I don't see other amazing sports like football, rugby, etc played, but they are still amazing sports. (mainly football... GO COLTS!)

i hope this sufficiently answers your question

  16. No...indian play all the games...but the BCCI is the only richest board who has promoted this well in India....money speaks....

  17. no

  18. no indians love to plat cricket but they know others gemes also like hockey, football, teenis, chesse etc

  19. No, yaar many games are played in India.....its just that Cricket is the most famous game in India! We love CRICKET!
