It will make a good topic for an argumentative essay because it is a controversial issue. On one side, there is the argument of longevity and treatment of debilitating diseases; on the other side, there is the argument of morality and possible confusion on the side of the person subjected to the treatment (like, what if he ends up in a time when all of his loved ones are already dead?).

A good topic for an argumentative essay must always have a clash of values. One side must not be absolutely correct over the other. In fact, the best topics are always those wherein both sides are equally right, and it is up to the essayist to make sure that one side appears slightly "more correct" than the other.

There is controversy and misunderstanding about motives,  ethics, financing, religion, philosophy, science, legalities, politics, and cryonics organizations. You can narrow your subject to the aspects of greatest interest to you or your teacher. Both you and your readers are likely to be interested in new perspectives to be gained by thinking about this out-of-the-ordinary topic, so that would make it a good choice for an argumentative essay.

Be sure that you are well-informed on your subject matter before arguing about it, however.
