  1. No, I don't think so.


  2. I think they do. I have to admit I still use them occasionally but I have cut way back and intend to stop all together soon. Sometimes I use a crystal instead which seems to work pretty well. Following is an excerpt from an article on the subject.

    "According to one writer, people should stop using deodorants and antiperspirants, since they contain triclosan and aluminum -- chemicals linked to major health problems. In fact, almost all deodorants and antiperspirants use these chemicals to form a base that is used to hold the perfumes that give them their scent.

    The first chemical, Triclosan, is known to cause cancer in humans as well as a host of other medical problems. As well, aluminum has been linked to Alzheimer's disease, due to high concentrations of the metal in the brains of Alzheimer's patients. And by applying these dangerous chemicals to an area near the underarm lymph nodes, people are ensuring that they are carried through the body."

  3. i do believe smelling nice is a side effect. not sure if that counts.
