Do you think drafting Mayo will work out well for the Patriots?

He looked good during the preseason game against that Ravens, but do you guys think hes gonna have a 100 tackle season (which should be easy since he is probably the fastest LB on the first team defence)

The Pats are, however, stacked at the linebacker position, and we don't know for sure where he'll be playing come the opening game. With Tedy Bruschi and Junior Seau at Inside Linebacker, and Vrabel and Adalius outside, he might not get as much playing time as Rivers will in Cincinatti.

I think either Rivers or Gholston will win defensive ROY, with Matt Ryan winning ROY (If he starts. If not, McFadden).

Yes. Mayo will learn from Tedi Bruschi and other warriors on the Patriots defense. And he has those big guys in front of him like Richard Seymour and Vince Wilfork to keep the blockers off of him.

I think it was a very good choice for them.  Their LB's are almost all on the old side.  Even if he isn't starting right away he will get plenty of playing time and will quickly be a starter.

100 tackles is a lot.  The other LB's they have may not be fast but most of them are very smart which helps them get to the right place at the right time quickly.  A good instinct will always go along way towards making the tackle.
