I think of a boy when I hear that name. You could just  name her Emme, its cute on its own. There are other names that you could use Emme for a nickname, like Emmaline, Emerald Emilia, Emogene.

Yeah...It's okay. hopefully nobody she grows up with likes the Twilight series (boy vampire named Emmett). You could just call her Emme, if you want to call her that name. You can also use these names (close to Emmett) Emily, Emma, Emelia, or Emmy. Emmett is very unique, but she might be made fun of, just to warn you.

Emmet is a boy's name and it sounds extremely masculine.  Why on earth would you slap it on a poor little girl?

And besides that, Emmet is a British slang term for an unwelcome tourist or stranger.
