  1. OK buddy here's the deal.

    1) This week was the masters.  If ESPN did so much coverage of it, how did you fail to even realize that?

    2) I care about golf.

    3) I'm not retired.

    4) If you really want to go into the argument about what makes a real athlete, we will.  The first person I want you to think about is Gary Player.  He is over 80 right now, and has been training and working out since his twenties.  He is still fit enough to play in the Masters, and says he plans on returning next year.  You'll probably be carrying an oxygen tank around with you when you're that old.  Next you need to look at Tiger Woods.  The man is crazy about training and staying in shape.  You need muscels to hit the ball 350 yards, and muscles come with strength and training.

You think golf is boring because you've never actually played and are too busy sitting on your lazy *** wondering what they'll talk about on ESPN all night.  I'm sorry golf doesn't have a power button and a leather sofa.

  2. This happens four times a year, before all the majors.  Similar to all the Super Bown Hype during January.  The Masters was the biggest sports event of the month, and therefore deserves the most coverage.

FYI, I care about golf.  And yes, it has overtaken basketball.

  3. at least they are not pimping Ohio State for a change.

  4. that is their m.o.

  5. Do you understand what broadcasting is all about ? Ever hear the word "Economics" ? Do you know how many golfers there are in the US? Would you conclude there are more than there are basketball players? Football players or their sports fans ?  Are the viewers  viable customers for the sponsors? Why else would they buy broadcast time, with limited advertising time if they didn't have a potential buying public?

  6. Since this weekend was the Master's, which is the most important golf tournament of the year and the year's first major, then they moved it up in their priority list.  It happens 4 times a year (Masters, US Open, Brititsh Open, PGA Championship).  Deal with it and move on.
