Do you think everything in life happens for a reason?

Do you honestly believe that we struggle, fight, battle and endure great hard ships in our lives for reason? Look at the people living with no houses, no money, no food, no one to love, is it all for a purpose? Does god play games with us and laugh at us in his cloud? or does he put us all through specified paths of hardships and struggle so we may gain and become better people, or lead us onto a path of better oppurtunity?

Believing that everything happens for a reason requires a belief in the supernatural.  And if you have that belief, then there is no end to the things you might imagine to be so.  For the rest of us, genes and luck are the cards we are dealt, what we do with them is up to us.

Why do we fall?.....

So we can learn to pick ourselves up.

Yes, things that happen to us can make us better people but only if we continue to try. Even at our weekest.

If we give up on ourselves others will follow. Meaning others will give up on us too.

Now that I look back I think that the worst things that I had to  endured was having to force myself to  give up pn others that I loved and needed to see grow but just wouldn't and it was affecting me in ways I can't explain. Sometimes we have to give up on others because they have given up on themselves.  

I now love the term I call "the leap frog" or in other words "pay it forward". Sometimes we are too week to leap and others will offer their back, as I'm sure you offered yours.

But if they/we stay there on anthers back for too long you will be harmed/harm them andthe others that relied on them and others that relied on you.

When I was strong I offered my back  for far too many people and for  far too long.  I've learned that life is ment to be shared, the good times and the bad but you have to become mindful of the efforts that others put into you expecialy in all the little things.  

And without effort to overcome you will not. Without effort to oversee you will not. Without experience you will not understand.

I think that God only giggles at us because he can see the bigger picture.

We are not always ready or able to understand why but if we look we can see.

everything happens according to oursamskaras of old and our own created. that is why we are not supposed to compare with others. when we lead a simple an honest living, we can come over and can help others. pray for others not for us as we are always looked after by god as he is with us all the time supporting. experience.

Realistically The Things That Happen To Us Is A Effect Of The Things We Choose To Do In A Situation (AKA The Cause). I Truthfully Think That Everything Happens For A Reason Because Every Experience Anyone Has Is A Learning Experience. When It Comes To The People Who Have No One To Love Well Atleast They Are Loved They Might Not Know It But Every Single Person Is Loved By Atleast One Person In The World Plus They Have God And Jesus... What I Beleive Is We Wrote Our Own Books Up In Heaven And Those Books Were Written Only For If We Tried Our Hardest To Stick To His Plan ( Aka. The Word Of Wisdom , The Book Of Mormon For Some And Etc) And The Trials Are Tests To See How Strong We Are In Beleiving In Him. And How Far We Stray The More We Have To Work To Get The Blessings Of Sticking To It. So Basically In The End Everyones Path Leads To Oppurtunity Whether It Is Bad Or Good God Decides By The Intent Of Our Hearts. So Ya Ultimately I Beleive Everything Happens For A Reason...

I think God set everything in motion and watches, without all the laughter you propose though! :)  I don't think he's there pulling strings or manipulating the system...we have free will to choose how to live our lives.  Unfortunately for those in mass starvation or dislocation scenarios like in Africa, they are dealing with the consequences of past failed leaders or colonialism.

yes.  i don't think God laughs at us, but gives us a "test" to see how we handle things.  some we'll fail, but whether we "fail" or "pass," the experience itself makes us a stronger person.

I have gone through some tough times in life & wondered what it was all for at the time but then later in life....sometimes a long way down the line I have been in a better situation & realised if I hadn't gone through the hardship then I wouldn't be where I was now.

Yes, I believe everything happens for a reason......everything. With respect to the people who have no home, no food & terrible hardship far worse than we could imagine .....I believe this is to bring empathy, sympathy, compassion etc. out in other people.

There have been many debates about why God allows this or that especially sickness, disability etc., but without these things can you imagine our lives without the sympathy compassion etc., We would be like robots all behaving in the same way.  No illness or disability would mean no doctors etc.,

Through every bad thing that happens something good always comes behind it.

No, I honestly don't. No.

Some things happen for a reason - cause and effect and all that. But no, I don't believe EVERYTHING happens for a reason. I think it's a human trait to ascribe meaning to things. For example, we often look for patterns in images, or we might want to think of a song or a piece of art as having 'meaning'. When it rarely has and it's doubtful that the creator of the piece actually intended half the meaning we attach to things. Does taht make sense?

So no. I see the world as quite arbitrary and I don't have a problem with that. That doesn't make it an uncaring and impersonal world since it is full of caring and thoughtful people.

Sometimes things happen through our own volition (if I study hard it will increase (but not guarantee) my chances of a better paid job) and sometimes things happen regardless of what we do (the office manager gave the job to his out of work nephew, regardless of my qualifications).

I think life is designed in a way that we are constantly presented with challenges and problems.  It is up to us to choose what we will do in reaction to these situations.  We find, if we conquer a problem, that we have provided the purpose for it by building the strength and character within to overcome whatever it may be.

Simply, things happen in life.  The purpose or reason for these things is discovered if we make something good and worthwhile in our life as a response.

yes i will agree with everything you have said,we would not be the people we are if we hadn't been through what we have,depending on what we have been through as people i do believe everything happens for a reason,it defines who we are as people,i think the more we go through the bigger the test,there will always be others who are less fortunate,or don't have people to turn to in there times of need,i don't think anyone laughs,but it is a test on our characters,sometimes i feel there is no one there watching over us,like you say,if there was why would they put us through all the suffering,we cant see any reason,we become disillusioned,lost even,until we dig deep and search within,we have to believe that no matter what we are who we are and no matter what,that's a fact,and theres no changing that,i also think how can we as people ever be anything,with nothing,its hard,we have to put our faith in whoever,and hope that we do get opportunity's and help us become better people,through the good times aswell as the bad.
