Do you think fay is gonna hit florida hard??

i live in bradenton but i just moved here so i dont know ive never been around one before!

Depends on how you define the term "hard".  It will likely be only a minimal hurricane if not a strong tropical storm.  The most significant effect from storms of this strength is inland flooding, which will be more widespread than the strong winds.  Right now it's projected track would put Fay's landfall to your south.  That would result in a general offshore wind there in Bradenton when the storm would be at it's strongest.  That would tend to limit any storm surge flooding.  A little while later the wind would become more onshore, but Fay will have weakened some by then.  Just keep aware of the latest on it.

I heard that the storm is supposed to be the strength of a hurricane, so it will most likely hit Florida hard.

ive been though frances, jean, katrina, wilma, those are the only names i remember...it is a tropical storm it is not as bad as a cadigory 3 hurricane...dont worry you should put shutters on the windows...or just plywood...after this you need to buy hurricane shutters if you live in florida...

I have friends in Sarasota and Bradenton, I hope it doesn't hit too hard. I have been praying it turns.

well you cant always believe what the news says if fay sits in the gulf it will get more power full because its warm watter but bradenton is more north id say you have an advantage  to see how hard it hits lower florida first

and personally ive been through wilma and katrina and id say

its safe to stock up a Little before you know fill up the gas tank and put your shutters up and its also good to have a battery powered radio down in ft lauderdale during wilma the power was out 5 days and it really helped
