  1. no

  2. I don't know if he will lose any time soon.

  3. No I think federer will lose his number 1 ranking sometime this year. and right now the only people that could possibly take over as number 1 are nadal and djokovic and theyre both improving and getting better each tourney and federer is going downhill right now. It would be very hard for him to beat them when theyre the two that are most likely gonna be playing him in any final. Or its even possible that he could get beat before he even gets to a final.

I think rafas gonna win wimbledon too. Especially after today. And he almost won last year.

  4. He is going through very bad time and losing rank 1 will be the last nail in the coffin he will slide down the rankings to 10 or 20

  5. Well Roger Federer is a really great player. He has held the #1 rank for such a long time because he has the skills to be the #1. If Federer loses his ranking of #1, he doesn't lose his skills. He just lost his ranking because he lost the number game with the tournament points. He still can regain the #1 ranking because he is still the same man that worked hard to get that #1 ranking and hold it for so long.

He has a beautiful serve, a strong forehand, a steady backhand, and an unbeatable mental toughness. He's Roger Federer.

  6. Whoa, whoa!! He didn't even lose it yet!

  7. Federer still has a healthy lead over both Nadal and Djokovic. So we are not going to see Federer lose his ranking atleast before Wimbledon.

It is going to be a very interesting Wimbledon. Its going to be more open than French Open with all the top 3 players namely Federer, Rafa and Djoker equally likely to win it.

  8. If he loses it i think he can regain it but he will never lose it

Have u seen the guys forehand

  9. Should that ever happen then yes he can and yes he will. But as it stands right now he is still favoured going in to Wimbledon and is the Greatest Player of All Time. Something that might be tough for Borg to accept. I think Borg doesn't want to loose his co-title of 5 straight Wimbledons to Federer which is why he is trying to jinx him by predicting Rafa will win this year. Actually I think it may come back to bite him in the butt since Rafa I'm sure doesn't need the extra pressure and Roger is now a little more hungry to prove him wrong. With a 35-0 match win streak on the line I think Roger is fine for Wimby. Infact he is planning to train harder for Roland Garros so he can win it next year.

    Quote:

The Swiss admitted, however, that it would take a lot of hard work to win the only grand slam missing from his collection after he became the first man to lose a hat-trick of Roland Garros finals.

“After a loss like this you don’t want to play Rafa again tomorrow, that’s for sure,” he said.

“You hope to be here again next year, and you probably assume that Rafa is going to be here, also. It doesn’t make it easier. But I still believe that with the right mindset, with the hard work I’m going to be able to put in, I can win it.”

“I still definitely feel very strong about my chances and being the big favourite going into grass,” said Federer, who will start his grasscourt season at the Halle tournament which begins on Monday.

“It’s so far away, grass and clay, that losing in four or five (sets) or no chance like today, I don’t think it has a big effect on me mentally.”

Federer will beat Borg’s record of five Wimbledon titles in a row if he prevails again at the All England Club next month. It would also take his grand slam victories tally to 13, one short of Pete Sampras’s record.

Edit: Let's clarify something Novak is not going to be number 1 he got lucky that Fed was ill at the AO or else Fed would have won that match. He got even luckier when Tsonga played crappy in the Final after playing out of his mind against Rafa. So Rafa is a legitimate 3 time French Open Grand Slam Winner and Novak was a fluke AO winner. Rafa will be #1 if Fed were to give it up. If you look at the ATP points race you will see that Novak isn't adding enough to surpass Nadal let alone Roger and with such a big lead over Rafa Roger should be #1 for quite some time still.

  10. i think so... maybe yes.. maybe no... but if you judge fed's performance this half of the year.. he may lose the rankings if he continue what he does in the opening of the year...

  11. Im not sure. Anything is possible but right now there are far better players than Roger. I dont see him winning wimbledon.

I think Rafa is in with a very good chance of taking this years wimby title. Vamos x*x

  12. Yes Federer can regain his number 1 ranking if he loses it. he is a gritty player, he had an off game in the French open final, too many mistakes, but Wimbledon is his tournament...Nadal wont win Wimbledon, he wont even make the final. He's a great clay player but he cant serve and volley and dats what wins wimbledon...EG. SAMPRAS "King of Wimbledon", "King of Serve and Volley"

  13. The way Federer is playing at the moment he would find it difficult to regain his #1 spot, that's for sure,

He is at the stage in his carreer when he needs to change tactics, and work on his well-being.

There is -no way- you can write Federer off- we have short memories- but who can forget Rogers sublime tennis when he is on song.

We only saw flashes of his brilliance at Roland Garros.

At the moment he doesn't look the sam man out on the court.

  14. He can not regain his ranking because by the time he lose it he will be too old to come back but it won't matter because no one else will be able to be #1 that long.

  15. He has not lost # In ranking yet so he might not lose it for a long time. If he does he might not get it  back.

  16. nope too many good players playing well....

  17. wow wait, wait , he still has over 1000 points more than Nadal, he is still young...he lost 3 finals in a row on RG, its common knowledge that he isn't better than Nadal on clay. I don't think he will lose it anytime soon.
