  1. The Spice Girls were not even s***s. There followers were 6-10 year olds.

  2. Not really. The radicals essentially destroyed feminism. The Spice girls merely engendered 'girl power' in the heads of 7 year old girls who would not have known about feminism really. Could you imagine little Tifany sitting down and listening to Andrea Dworkin expatiate on 'all s*x equating to rape and violence'? The Spice Girls were light hearted and not too deep on the heavy philosophizing about gender relations

  3. Feminism/Girl Power hasn't and should not go anywhere when you have used such a vile word to describe any woman or girl.  As long as there are women out there making our voice heard...it's all good, even Germaine Greer has a sneaking admiration for the Spice Girls.  Better to advocate Girl Power than accept being called a sl**!

And feminism has not been ruined by radicals it has been distorted by reactionary bigots who wanted to maintain the status quo! Every political, cultural revolutionary ideological perspective has radical positions but is never simply defined by them, they help formulate it.

  4. I thought the Spice Girls were fun and bouncy.  Ok, maybe not deep and philosophical, but they were a record-label-assembled pop band.  What did you expect?

  5. Spice Girls sent society as a whole downhill. Remember their stupid movie? Yikes.

  6. No - because:

    1. They didn't start following them or anyone else

    2. The Spice Girls ae not "Idiotic s***s"

    3. Feminism is still alive and kicking

  7. Nah Germaine Greer ruined feminism by being really annoying and whingeing alot in that stupid accent, no ones been bothered much since

  8. No I think feminism went downhill when it was considered acceptable to call female pop singers idiotic s***s.

  9. Just because they screamed out "girl power" every now and then, it doesn't make them feminist icons.

" 'Who Stole Feminism' by Christina Hoff-Sommers"

You know Billary, she actually backs Greer in this book.

  10. Yes, they don't do women any justice by being s***s and they look old when they reach 30 years old, as well as no one wanting to marry them because of their reputation. Become Catholic.....

  11. Germaine Greer was the feminist voice for many years but she has a severe personality disorder so no one should have listened. Feminism was funded and marketed as it served to break up families, make women believe they belong to one homogenous group, sow discontent amoung women and harness women to the corporate plough. Any 'ism' like Natzism is not fact-based but is only a belief system, hence the very dishonest feminist research that has swamped the western universities. An excellent book that bursts the bubble of the movement is 'Who Stole Feminism' by Christina Hoff-Sommers

  12. Nah, feminists ruined feminism, what a wonderful human rights movement it was, I don't know when it went wrong, but it did go wrong.

Lets not call women idiotic s***s though, hey?
