  1. Training itself is not fun-it is painful at times. People get discouraged because they watch it on TV and it looks like fun, but once you're actually training hard core-you will realize it's a lot of hard work.  If you don't mind a little pain here and there, some puking and bruised up body parts, then it might be for you

  2. The quickest way to find out if you will enjoy MMA is have a buddy punch you square in the nose.   If you enjoy the rush of adrenaline produced by the wave of pain pouring over your body and blurring your vision by this event you may be a good student of MMA.

Most fighters I know and train with enjoy their training and they enjoy the competing even more.  They become a different person in the ring and they dominate their opponents.

Some people in this world simply love the challenge of a fight.  They also love the long hours of training that it takes to become the best.

Try training and get a taste of what it takes to begin and figure out the rest as your learn more and progress.  Try some gi or no gi fights and then move on to Pankration.  If you enjoy it and get the feeling you have the heart of a champion then progress your game to the next level.

You can't start running before you learn to walk.

    Best Regards,

    KK

  3. I have put my 5 year old daughter in mma and she's not in pain.  They start you off easy.  Once you get higher up there's more interaction but it's with a professional instructor so he'll show you the proper way to do it.

  4. fighting in MMA is fun if theres money involved

  5. fun is secondary ,

your not ready for it kid , go back to eating your popcorn

  6. I think its the funnest thing ever. You have to beable to take pain though. And most gyms the people are really kool to.

  7. You can look at it like this, my friend. When a footballer runs the dash, lifts the weights and hits field with full gear on a sunny day hitting those blue things, there is pain. I guess MMA requires the pain to be more direct and in your face. It's a 2 hour game of physical contact and muscle strain every weekend for a season against 1-25 minutes of fighting with the potential for a 1 minute upset or a 25 minute war maybe 3 times a year. If you just want to talk OUCH pain alone, get ready for cauliflower ears, torn ligaments and cuts that will re-open at the slightest breeze. It isn't pretty, but it is a rush, and the ladies love it! If you're even second guessing based on pain, it isn't for you. Your coach will have several buddies of several different styles kicking your *** every day. You'll be running, trying to keep your weight steady and spending more then you make. Holding back when training will get you knocked out on live television.

  8. Well yeah theres usually some pain, but its not like too much. Idk how your gym will be but the ppl in mine are really cool and joke all the time.
