Please list, in detail, the pros and cons. I have heard many different arguments, both for and against Chinese and Indian investment. From what I have read, it is not 100% good or 100% bad, but I would like to hear what some other people think. Do you think this is Africa's last chance, sort of a "now or never" situation?

  1. Maybe.  I know that a lot of countries in Africa are poor (I can't say that all are but a significant number are) and have suffered from poverty and other problems [along with corruption].  So investment can help Africa.  It can give them much-needed funds.  So investment can be good.

However, investment won't be the solution.  I agree with the others, Africa will have to clean up a lot of the problems affecting it right now.  Investment can help but its going to take more to rebuild different African nations and help them get better.  Problems like genocide, poverty, climate change, AIDS, and maybe unemployment (don't know how big it is) need to be taken care of.  So must corruption.  I think Africa has made progress in general, but many nations in it will have to go farther and keep on working on solving the problems.  Hopefully one day it won't need as much investment and be able to stand on their own. Just my opinion.
