  1. There's currently Tropical Storm, which could become a hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico. Gas prices went up 5 cents where I live since yesterday. You can bet that the oil companies and traders will use this as an excuse to jack up the price of oil.

So no, the price of gas will not drop anytime soon based on the above reasoning.

  2. $3.20?  I want to see them drop somewhere in the low $2 range.

  3. When I was 18 the gas price went from fifty cents a gallon and doubled to a dollar. Gas was 30-50 cents a gallon for a decade before the increase. Then the Middle Eastern countries cut us off, and we had to wait in mile-long lines just to get gas.

Eight years ago I paid $1.19 a gallon. It never went back down to fifty cents. What makes me think it will get back down to $3.20?

  5. It is the 3rd quarter and that is the fiscal quarter they use to calculate COLA for social security recipients.  IE they compare this year's 3rd quarter to last year's 3rd quarter to determine how much to increase the social security checks.  I am guessing that gas prices will continue to go lower.  In May I predicted a lowering starting in July and that came true.  I am a regular seer, am I not?......lol

EDIT, oh I forgot to actually answer the question.  I am not sure but your 3.20 estimate is a good one, sounds about right.

Yammee, yes but you have some pretty good trains.  In USA the inner city light rails are very slow and good Amtrak stations are sparse.  Many of them have no "open" hours to discuss travel plans and even to purchase tickets.  I used Amtrak to go to Florida once from Vermont, train departture was 2:20AM and was an hour late.  I am in Arizona now and the Yuma Amtrak station has no open hours and train leaves at 4:00AM or so.  Only one departure a day for both of these.  It is very troublesome to use them.

  6. What are you complaining about.Its £1.20 a litre here in U.K.That equates to $12.00 A GALLON

  7. i hope so that would be awesome
