  1. Sorry no they will not and from what I am seeing we are in for another rise at the pump

  2. NO chance.

    Except maybe in our dreams.

  3. No, I don't. Mainly because of inflation.

  4. Only in our dreams. We probably will never see it under $3.00 a gallon soon.

  5. $2 per gallon? Never gonna happen again.

If you look at energy consumption worldwide, China and India will be greater purchasers in the global oil market.

  6. The only possible way would be if some new technology was invented that made gas unnecessary in the majority of vehicles.

  7. No. Although if someone invented the time-machine, that would be a different story. I remember about 7 years ago when the prices were only like $1.50.

  8. snozzberries,

With global demand increasing and the supply of oil decreasing with each passing day, it's highly unlikely we'll see a 33% drop in prices, especially a lasting drop.

From where I sit, managing daily gasoline demand, while our demand is increasing steadily here in the US, we now have global competition for our import products.  China and India are building their domestic economies on the back of pteroleum, since it's the cheapest energy source currently available.  Just as we used coal to build our economy, those countries are trying to utilize some efficiency, but their primary concern is cost right now.

Our recent level of $2.50/gallon is the new floor for pricing.  As easy oil becomes more scarce, more involved technologies will be employed to extract oil, but this will add to the cost.  Combined with increasing demand, prices will only continue to rise over time.

The upside?  In about 40 years, when easy oil is basically used up, the Middle East will lose all significance to the western world and will again drop into obscurity.  Canada and Mexico, currently our two largest suppliers of imported oil, will become even more important to us over time.

The downside?  China has wisely invested trillions in oil reserves that require technological advances to make economically feasible, but someday, that oil will be the only oil left and if you think the Saudis are a bunch of pr!cks, wait till you see the Chinese in the driver's seat...

  9. Maybe if these librals stop messing everything up!!!

  10. no, when the public 'agreed' to pay $2.00 a gallon instead of boycotting the oil companies, that set a trend that will never reverse itself. right now i'm betting the average price of a gallon of gas will settle around $3.35 a gallon as everytime it goes above that there's a public outcry for officials to do something about it.

remember that old cartoon pict where wylie coyote had the roadrunner by the throat and says "beep beep ur azz"...well imagine that pict again with the big oil companies having people by the throat saying "pay or walk".
