  1. I think they will continue to rise until at least Labor Day.  I think $5.00 a gallon in the U.S. is a real possibility by then.  Who knows what will happen after that.

  2. Not any time soon.

  3. no...every day world uses 85 million bbls of oil in 10 years china and india will use 85 million a day  THEMSELVES!!!!

  4. i think bush screwed our economy with this war. I am thinking that when he is gone things will kind of go back to normal.  but once we hit 5 a gal the oil companies will say its a relief for us to be at 4.25 a gal and i doubt they will sell it for less. I am not sure if this is a scam or not but i am going to try and build a HHO hybriid system and try it on a beater car.

  5. The only way that gas prices will go down is if the government lifts environmental restrictions of coastal drilling, as well as drilling in ANWAR (an area the size of four New England states combined, with only an area the size of a medium sized airport to drill).  We need to drill our own oil, instead of importing so much of it.  Drilling creates jobs here in the United States.

Even if it takes years to get the oil out of the ground, the speculators and people in the market who determine oil futures prices will lower those prices.  The oil producing countries will increase their supplies.

We have billions of barrels of oil right here at home, just waiting to be tapped.  It's the environmental lobby that is keeping states from making their own choices.  The federal government needs to back out!

In the meantime, we should look for alternative fuel sources, but realistically, 99% of the cars on the road are combustion engines that run on gas or diesel.  We can't all of a sudden quit using the cars we have.  We need to drill!
