Do you think gasoline prices will rise after the presidential election?

The gas prices have gotten suspiciously lower in recent weeks. If they continued to rise instead, it wouldn't bode well for the Republican party with elections coming in November. If prices go up after the election would you feel like *****-slapping Rush Limbaugh?

  1. Traditionally gas prices fall after labor day and then rise again just before the holiday traveling season. Since the Republican party is in the hip pocket of big oil, this years election adds a twist into that tradition. I think prices will continue to fall until the election, unless one candidate or another gains an substantial lead in the polls......Either way, yes prices will rise after the election.

  2. I already feel like ***** slapping Rush Limbaugh!!  As much as I hate to admit it, I feel like gas prices will continue to rise until after the election.  Look back in history.  As far as I can recall, Democratic presidents are elected after a Republican president has served two terms.  Democratic presidents generally get us out of a depression.

  3. Unless there is a major change in the state of world events, oil prices should level off through the winter (election).  The cost of heating oil will rise.  Next spring/summer (when school lets out) the cost of gas will rise again.

Were this not an election year, the same would be true.

  4. The up-coming two storms will have more effect on gas prices than the election at this time.  As to the last part of your comment, I have never felt like being violent toward Mr. Limbaugh.

  5. Gas prices are not a direct relation to Republicans.

There are many factors to gas prices, ...

Demand would be one, speculation, weather, countries in the middle east, russia to name a few.  Don't buy the nonsense that Republicans control it.  Actually, Democrats control congress and they all went on vacation instead of voting on oil.  Hmmm... pretty suspicious to me.

Stop drinking the liberal kool-aid and think about it.
