Do you think getting you eyebrows tattooed is TRASHY...?

I read a comment about that. I am getting it done when i'm 18. My mom and aunt have it done and so do my mom's close friends. What is your opinion on that?

Its not trashy I actually think its a very clean look

Personally, I don't like it.

That's only because all of the girls I've seen with it can't pull it off.

So unless you know you can, I wouldn't recommend it.

I don't think it's trashy.  Some people are incapable of growing eyebrow hair and I can imagine how annoying it would be to have to draw them on everyday.

Just make sure you go to someone good who's going to tattoo you the right color because I could see how black eyebrows on a fair skinned blond would like tacky.

No, it looks pretty good. Just make sure that they don't tattoo them on too thin.

i wouldn't say trashy because some people do it for reasons related to their medical condition which is fine;but make sure its what you want  because its permenant so if it does'nt look right then its too late to change it so think long and hard about it :)

I met this baker one day and afterwards I told my husband that she had the best eyebrows I had ever seen. Since he knew her I had him ask her who waxes her eyes and that I would make the drive to see this person.

Her eyebrows were simply amazing. Turns out that they are tattooed on.

There are many problems getting eyebrow tattooing so young. I worry about this place...they don't post any pictures of the work at all.

So what if she is a nurse?  Most of my nurse colleagues know nothing about makeup - you really need to study some of her work when you are older to be sure.

I highly caution you and I rarely will work on someone so young.  There are going to be many touch ups needed over your lifetime and the skin can only hold so much pigment...it lightens but the molecules do not disappear, they take up space.  She advertises the colors don't shift - that is completely not true for eyebrows at all!  It is most important to go with a bit of a darker color and have it diluted so there is not so much pigment crammed into them to make more room for the touch ups.

You need to make them fairly thin because over the years you will need shape adjustments...I have been adjusting clients that have had them done 20 years ago and if they were thick we would have problems - by keeping them thin, if one side of the face droops more than the other which is very common, there is enough play to balance them again.

Eyebrows can make or break your face and unless you are really knowledgeable as to what looks good, you might be able to determine if what is in her portfolio looks good.  Are you sure what is on your relatives looks really good?

Please give this lots of thought.

Sorry to say that always looks bad - maybe not trashy - but obvious.  Go to a salon that offers eyebrow shaping - that's what I do every six or so weeks - $18.
