  1. Some theories state that yes ghosts/spirits can invade your dreams.  They are able to do this because all mental barriers are down when you are sleeping so it makes it easier for them to invade, in your own words.

  2. Yes, and from personal experince.  Try saying a prayer of protection, a dream catcher, or even possibly a cleansing spell on your home.

  3. Don't know. I can't rember ever having a ghost in any of my dreams.

  4. For people without training in opening the third eye, the moment just between wakefulness and sleep is one of the few times that spirits can make their presence known and felt.  It is highly possible that there is a spirit trying to make contact, especially if the feeling that you describe is accompanied by thoughts that feel foreign to you.

On the other hand you may be experiencing sleep paralysis.  It is a sleep disorder wherein your mind is awake, but your body will not respond to commands.  You can't speak, you can't move.  It can feel like someone else is controlling your body, or an oppressive weight on your chest like someone is sitting on you.

I have had both happen to me, and just from your description it sounds like the second is the more likely explanation.  However, the next time it happens, try to control the fear and panic you feel and objectively examine your thought process (I realize it will be hard).  If you find yourself thinking things that feel like they're coming from an external source, you may have a spirit trying to make contact.

  5. There are several possibilities for that, including a paranormal one, but please check other things out first before you choose that as your answer.   Do you have a lot of electrical equipment plugged into your room?  Particularly around your bed?  High Electro Magnetic Field readings around you can cause a multitude of physical symptoms that

include nausea and paranoia.   Try unplugging everything around your bed and sleep that way for a night to see if the feeling goes away.  Also are you on any kind of medication?  Check the side effects that it might have on you.  If none are listed, check with your doctor to see if he knows of any.  (Lunesta causes sleep walking in some people that they have no memory of.  My mom took it for a while and had several events where she was sleep walking.  She even dragged her neighbors chair into her appartment and wrote her name on it over 1000 times.  We counted.  She woke up the next morning with this chair in her living room and her name all over it in her writing, and she remembers none of it.  She thought it was a ghost of  some kind at first.  When she asked her doctor about it, he told her about the side effects of the Lunesta she was taking.)

I truly believe there are ghosts out there and that they can communicate with you quite well in your dreams, but I like to check out every other possible reason before I go to that.  If it bothers you, ask the spirit to leave you alone, do it nicely, with respect, and that should solve your problem.

  6. If by invading your dreams you mean to say that your dreams suddenly turn into nightmares then yes ghosts can do that.

You can tell when your nightmare or dream was induced by ghost because when you wake up your body feels like its vibrating and you can feel a presence.
