Yeah, I do. They're light, they don't get in they way, and they don't make you really warm like other shorts. And I don't know what it is about them, but they give a sort of strange self-confidence. Everyone looks good in spandex! (rephrase: every GIRL looks good in spandex. With guys it's just creepy)

I've played for about a year and it does help in performance.

It makes it so much easier to move around.

But I DO NOT think they should wear the ones that look like a bathing suit.

I mean, if you're going to wear that, just wear a bathing suit! :-)

My team has the kind that comes about 2/3 down your thigh.

For me that's perfectly fine.

i think the teams HAVE to wear them.  well actually, i have played against a team that wore basketball shorts.  they were distracting.  to my team and to the player's own because all the movement of the fabric is just like in your face and there could be an instance when someone's diving to dig a ball and accidently pull them down by mistake.  i personally LOVE spandex.

yes, they really stay ut of your way and are really comfy. some girls are very sef-concious in them and it effects their game. in that case then no. but my whole team is comfy in them & they really help you move better. but guys do happen to check you out...

WAHOOOO i luv spandex!

ive been on the competitive vball team for 5 years and 1. its hot when we work out.... not only temperature wise either ;) so its nice to barely wear anything on bottom. 2. it helps your self esteem, even if ur fat...all the guys check you out anyways (im not fat im just being thought full) lol and well come on...... its just fun when the cheerleaders all stare at you and think your a s**t cuz u can just be mean back hahahah

IDK, I mean my 8th grade team wore them and the only reason gys came to our games was to look at our babooshkas(butts) LOL but I think they are supposed to let you jump higher or something like that. I know that they have a purpose 4 performance though...also volleyball jerseys are tight fitting 2 so it would look dumb if the shirts were close fitting and the shorts weren't!!

yess. i've played volleyball since 6th grade and have never not worn spandex. when you where normal athletic shorts its so much harder to move around and it's just too much for volleyball. i say keep the spandex!!
