They are related, but are not really one in the same. Green house gases are usually composed of Carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and fluorocarbons. These do occur naturally and make the world warmer than it would be otherwise, but they can also be produced by human activity.

Global warming is believed to be at least partially caused by an unusual build-up of these greenhouse gases and increases atmospheric and ocean temperatures. It is not necessarily caused by humans, contrary to popular belief, but it can be.

It's not really an opinion.  The phenomenon that is called "Global Warming" is caused by the release of the green house gas Carbon Dioxide when we burn fossil fuels.  There are other green house gasses that contribute, such as methane.  They are a natural part of the earth's atmosphere, but we are just releasing large amounts of them.

These greenhouse gasses are the cause of the natural greenhouse effect, which retains the heat from the sun absorbed by the earth (so the heat goes and stays in and not out our atmosphere).

In common parlance, the term greenhouse effect may be used to refer either to the natural greenhouse effect, which is the greenhouse effect which occurs naturally on Earth, or to the enhanced (anthropogenic) greenhouse effect, which results from gases emitted as a result of human activities also known as global warming.

The difference between the natural greenhouse effect and global warming is that- global warming is anthropogenic whereas greenhouse effect is not.
