Do you think god has abandoned the U.S.? just look to where this country has fallen?

i mean 50 years ago. we were a christian nation, able to speak freely about god and jesus. we had morals, we had standards, we had an all around nicer people and more respectful. everyone helped everyone. there wasnt as much crime or drugs or s*x. there wasnt so much degradation. now god cant even be spoken of on this website, in school, in public we cant even have the words A.D. on our buildings anymore. we've accepted homosexuality, we've accepted abortion. we have no morals any more. its been replaced with greed. instead of helping your neighbor, its "what can i get out of helping my neighbor?"

the nation itself has just lost all its vigor it once had. its patriotism is gone. back then we would'nt even dream of having such an open illegal immigration policy. how can you be partriotic if you dont speak the language, dont care about the culture and instead bring your own flag to the new country? i just think that in a nutshell america was a better nation under god back then. and with the electon now, how can he let them win? it just shows that he has given up on us.

I think it's profoundly arrogant to think that God had a special place in his heart for America ever, so no I do not think he abandoned this country -- I don't think he has special nation favorites.

Your sense of history is extremely warped as well as your facts on what godless behavior was acceptable and not in the past.  Morality is subjective to the culture that defines it -- homosexuality, drugs, etc.  Homosexuality was here and accepted openly before "America" was ever named such, ever hear of the berdeche?  Look it up.  As well as "drugs" being used all over the world.  There has been no evidence to suggest crime has gone up in percentages, only the penalty and duration for crimes.

The one thing I will agree with you is on selfishness -- that's the price you pay when you define "success" in your society as material wealth, physical beauty and popularity .  But, then, that's the logical outcome in a capitalist society whose war drum is all about individuality.  Ah well.

If you understand Revelations, you would know that the United States is going to be the beast that is the power behind the anti-Christ religion. (a religion claiming Christ but actually leads people away from Christ) Do you really think the United States would not be mentioned in prophesy? God has not forsaken us, but is allowing his plan to play out the way he foretold it long ago. Satan is the ruler of this world until Jesus returns and takes His rightful place. As scary as it is, it will all work out for the glory of God in the end. Until then, we just need to buckle down and hang on tight because it's going to be a bumpy ride.

Mainly because of Church and state. Religion and politics never mix well and those civilization/countries that did have them mixed failed. Plus, that is specialized treatment for one religion. Of course, being an American you know should already know this. Also, the United States has no official language. Plus, people have rights. It's not the United States of what you think it should be. Also, the Bible says nothing of this nation. Also, morals back 40-50 years ago were not as good as you think. Look at the wars, the hippies with s*x and drugs. Also, this is not a Christian nation. We are a melting pot of cultures and religions. And since we are not a religious nation, homosexuality and abortion can be legal. Plus, just to add, homosexuality has been around for thousands of years. It didn't arrive in the past 20-30 years.

Well, thats your opinion. I'm sorry but i don't need the bible for moral guidance, I have a conscience. I however think that things are getting better and they will continue to do so.

How is forcing your uneducated child to believe a religion, and in a God that they do not really know exists not brainwash either?   They can believe and have faith, but the second a person says they know its true 100% they are lying.

The same lessons and values people learn from a story book, the bible, can be taught without the fear aspect of burning in h**l; and you also dont have to spend money every Sunday to do it.
