Google actually had it, and it was called Google Answers (or something similar) years ago, but Google shut it down. I don't know why. Maybe not enough traffic. Not sure.

I would love for Google to launch it back again or make a new product similar to Yahoo! Answers.

There was actually a Google Answers a few years ago. Google Answers was a knowledge market offered by Google that allowed users to post bounties for well researched answers to their queries. It was launched in April 2002, and moved out of Beta in May 2003. In late November 2006, Google reported that it planned to permanently shut down the service, and it was fully closed to new activity by late December 2006, although its archives remain available.

It wouldn't be impossible to see Google start up an Answers platform similar to this one in the near future. However, I bet they wont since it seems financially stagnant. If you know what I mean :)

Answers sites are a lot like other parts of internet - Everyone jumps on the same boat, and all the others are sunk. Bad as it seems sometimes, Y Answers is the only place you can guarantee good response to questions, so nobody will go anywhere else will they?
