  1. My mom puts ground turkey in mac and cheese and it tastes absolutelyy wonderful.

  2. I use to use Turkey in chill and many other meals instead of beef and it worked very well and is better for you in the long run

  3. The pasta king says yes. That's just a fine mix.

  4. I use ground turkey in everything I would use hamburger in.  My husband has to have a low fat diet, so I use a lot of ground turkey.  It is also cheaper.  I do a lot of economy shopping and one of my tricks is to cook 5 lbs of ground turkey and 2 or 3 lbs of lean hamburger together.  You can even cut up an onion or 2 and cook with the meat.  When all the pink has cooked out I drain the fat and package the meat into zipper bags with about 1 lb of meat per bag and freeze them.  That way on nights I work late (most of them) I can come home and be half way to dinner with a quick thaw in the microwave.  Throw it in spaghetti, macaroni, tacos, anything you would use hamburger for.

  5. I think that ground turkey would taste good in either one. If it were me I would try it and if it taste gross you will know for the next time not to try it.

    Hope This Helps.

              Enjoy!

  6. Do anything that you'd do with ground beef, but double the herbs.... hamburgers, meatloaf, meatballs, stuffed peppers, etc.

  7. Maybe not in the Alfredo pasta...but mac'n'cheese is okay.  I use it when making spaghetti, Lasagna, tacos, etc.  Since ground turkey can be a bit bland, make sure you add extra seasonings.

  8. it would taste good with mac and cheese

  9. Don't add it to the fettucino alfredo - yuk - add it to the mac and cheese - it will be like Hamburger Helper...

  10. It will work ok, if unspectacularly. But if I had my druthers, I'd use turkey cut coarsely into chunks.

  11. No It would taste delicious I love ground turkey I know it would go good with Fettuccine  Alfredo or mac n cheese

  12. No it is actually better well at least I think it is.

  13. Since ground turkey is usually lower in fat content than beef it tends to be more bland (fat means flavor after all) so to beef up the taste (no pun intended) you probably need to use more seasoning.

The cheesiness of Alfredo sauce will probably equal everything out.

Basil and/or sage go rather well with turkey.

I don't like mac n cheese so I really can't offer much help there. I didn't even know that you put meat in M n C. I thought that was the whole idea.

Browning the ground turkey in a little bit of EVOI ( olive oil) should help with the taste also.

In any case there is nothing "gross" about subing ground turkey in your recipes so good luck and happy cooking.

  14. You need to season ground turkey. Other wise it does not have a great taste. I make meat balls for sauce or seasoned burgers or meat loaf. Or it makes great chili. So what ever recipe season the meat first.
