I'm the college student that received the 7 y/o email device from the priest that was leaving. I finally decided I could just use it as my personal journal. However, there's addresses left on here of like his fam & coworkers that are about 10 yrs. old I'm guessing. Do you think he was trying to 'hint' to me that if I was important he would have gotten this info. first? Everyone else I know always erases this sort of stuff before that give it away or dispose of their electronic devices.

  1. I think you're reading too much into it. He probably just forgot.

  2. No insult to you has been implied and frankly, I am mystified as to why you would think there was any intended "message" by the priest not deleting the addresses.

Sounds to me like the priest isn't computer-savvy enough to know that his old data needed to be wiped.
