  1. It's not going to damage Walmart - they'll just pass the costs along.

But it could hurt the airline industry - every time fuel prices soar, it hurts the airline industry.

  2. no walmart is always packed every time i go there.

  3. they day wal mart goes out of business is the day the world ends.

  4. walmart and target..no not at all, they are both highly profitable companies that the only competions are against each other, both try to keep their prices low,and try to keep up with whats hot,for example walmart has been getting into recycling long ago,and is adding more recyclable, recycled and organic items to their stores every day,as well as trying to find ways to conserve energy within their stores.target also is competive in the fact that they sell alot of things that walmart and kmart dont sell.its the high priced stores have to compete with walmart and target that are actually struggling to survive ,krogers and kmart are an example

  5. Walmart will never go out of business, sadly.  They will, however, post less of a profit (but still a profit) in times like these.  I find that Walmart's prices are only slightly less, if not comparable to some of the other chains or even mom-and-pop stores.

As to discount airlines, yes it's possible.  I know a guy who works for one of those discount outfits and his status is being downgraded and his hours have been cut nearly in half.  Certain stations and routes are being closed altogether.

  6. no
