Do you think home prices will continue to drop?

Seeing how now is a good time to buy a house is it better to wait it out for lower prices?

IS time for RENT

prices will go down 2008 and 2009.

if you can wait is better,

until prices get better,

but dont forget the Inflation is going up too.

If you get a nice money now and invest, good

or rent and wait until prices go up again...

there going to be a 2-3   BAD years

that is very subjective as home prices in some areas have fallen and in other actually risen. It all depends on location, location , location

Well even it drops you will never know the exact bottom! By the time you know it was the bottom it have started rising, like in case of share too! So if you think the price is too low compared to what it have been before probably you are too close to the bottom and you are in a good position to buy. There are too many sellers who will prefer to give it to rent and try to sell it later (12/24 months after when market improves) than selling it at a significant loss.

Prices have already dropped significantly and foreclosure are still on the rise. If you are on the market to buy a house in the neighborhood or location that you desire, I would suggest to start looking and study the sale trends on that particular area.  In that way you will have an idea how the prices are holding up.  Then you can decide if now's the right thing to buy or not.  Remember the basic law of supply and demand,  You will have so much bargaining power if you have a lot of comparables and have done your assignment.
