Do you think honesty in the best policy in the workplace?

In my opinion, being completely honest is most important. Yes, how well people work is also important. What do you think?

I think that people work together better in an environment with good communication and honesty.

No, that is a silly and naive statement.  It depends on the job.  In some jobs, you must manage expectations, make your boss look good and someone who is brutally frank would not work out.

if i was completely honest at work, chances are i may no longer be working there.  I just tell myself "keep your mouth shut & do your job".  It's nothing illegal or unethical, just so you know.

i always had  a "i know nothing" policy while working!!!

Nothing wrong with exagerating your qualifications to get a job.  But in general, honesty is best.
