  1. No. A lot of horses actually learn to love it.

    BUT, it is kind of abuse if the person uses harsh, unnecessary equipment and uses harsh discipline on the horse when it refuses a jump or something stupid like that.

    And it also isn't right to jump a horse that isn't full grown.


  2. If the rider forces the horse to jump when it's scared, beat it when it doesn't, or force the horse to take dangerous jumps, yes. But many horses enjoy jumping. I know of one Arabian mare named Breeze who if put in a paddock with a jump or trot poles in it, she would gallop in circles and jump it again and again, and she certainly looked like she was having fun.

  4. I don't understand how it would be animal abuse? I used to jump horses and I think I was more abused than the horse.. I got thrown off my horse numerous times

    As long as the horse is properly schooled it can jump and enjoy it.

    We are having this problem in Aus with our jumps racing. The issue is that the horses don't jump, so people call it animal abuse. It goes back on the trainers who fail to school the horses over fences. They lack respect for the fence.

    now is barrel racing abuse Yes ,,

    why !! I will tell you

    go to the best of shows No small ones

    You will see race horses go in the gates ,,once in a while one will throw a fit but not that many

    Jumpers will be more then happy to enter the arena and do a good jb or else he will stop at most fences and most of those horses are over 8 yrs old

    (remember I said BIG SHOWS )

    Now you take a barrel horse Nine times out of ten .. they have to run in or be led in or really do NOT WANT TO RUN and have NO BREAKS AND OR run into the fences or people etc

    cutters Love their jobs

    If not they quit

    Barrel racers ,,Just put BIGGER SPURS ON OR MORE GAG BITS AND ALL HAVE TIE DOWNS

    Now you tell me what horse is abused ???
