  1. It is impossible to say are we still evolving physicaly because it is needed a lot of time to notice these changes...It is difficzlt to observe human's evoulution in action, so we don't have evidence about this type evolving....but for sure we are evolving intelectually and morally, what we can see by cultural changes which are happening!

  2. All species are always evolving. Just takes a long time.

  3. Yes humans are still evolving. For e.g there was a scientific research that shows that more ambitious and aggressive parents are more likely to give birth to boys while other parents are more likely to give birth to girls. This will ensure that poor females born are more and more physically attractive to snare boys from rich families and ensuing the survival of the fittest. In modern society, rich = better chance of surviving in this world.

  4. Evolution is made possible by one constant.. an ever changing earth.  As the elements of the earth change and balance, so will the species that inhabit it.  If you believe in evolution and what is known about the planet, you must concede that humans will continue to evolve.

  5. Syd is incorrect about the neanderthals, who were better cold adapted than cro magnon, having spent many thousands of years coping with the cold, and it was only the superior weaponry (throwing spears = distance weapons, as opposed to jabbing spears) and superior numbers which forced the neanderthals into isolated pockets which eventually couldn't maintain their population.

There is no doubt that some traits of humans are being selected for, and that there is genetic pressure in certain areas.

What I find worrying is that currently, many of those with serious illness, who would formerly been weeded out of the gene pool, are now managing to pass on their defective genes. I only hope the genetic science of the future is able to correct this.

  6. h**l Yes!!! I love evolution!!!

  7. Yes, I do but it will take thousands of years and a third-person point of view to confirm that we are still evolving.

  8. We are not Evolving.

There is no such thing as evolution, at least in humans.

We do not come from apes.

  9. No.

We're too numrous and widepread for any advantagous mutation to spread to th whol spcies.

Most species were stable for most of thir existenc.

  10. You can slow down evolution but you can't stop it completely.  When animals are ideal, selection tends to eliminate changes in animals like crocodiles.  They will still change and evolve, but they will maintain their basic form.  The same is likely true of humans.  We will evolve but probably not really change that much from our basic form.  You can't really see significant evolution in humans unless your time frame is at least tens of thousands of years or probably much more.

  11. right now most of human evolution is essentially genetic drift(basically the random spread of mutations that occurs when natural selection neither selects for or against said mutations).

  12. Ofcourse everything constantly evolves

  13. NO. ACTUALLY I BELIEVE THE HUMAN RACE IS ON A DEAD END BRANCH OF THE EVOLUTIONARY TREE OF LIFE. NATURE WOULD BE BETTER OFF IF THIS PSECIES WERE EGESTED A.S.A.P.

  14. absolutely think how much we have changed in appearance and smarts. We are constantly evolving just think at one time we thought the world was flat! I do not believe we came from apes or from the big bang theory.

  15. Humans are definitely still evolving. Since as early as 2 million BCE, humans have drastically changed to adapt to their environment and survive. First there were the Australopithecines, which didn't last long. Next there were the Homo Habilis,"man of skill", humans which were around in the Paleolithic Era and were discovering simple tools, fire, and oral language. Next were the Homo Erectus,"upright man", humans who were the first to migrate out of Africa. They were called upright men since their posture began to change from bending to slightly slouching. Next were the Neanderthals which are not ancestors of humans. They could not adapt to their cold environment of the Ice Age and became extinct. And finally there are the Cro-Manons, "wise men", or Homo Sapiens. This is the current category under which all humans fall under. But I doubt Cro-Magnons are the final evolvement of humans.
