Do you think humans will evolve around their technology?

Let's say that humans will continue living for thousands, even millions of years into the future. Technology will continue improving as it is now. Do you think that as our technology increases, humans will evolve to it, and without technology humans will become vulnerable? So vulnerable that it can make them extinct? What do you think?

I think that right now humans are fine as they are, but one day, we may "downgrade" ourselves because we compensate it with the use of technology, making us weaker.

Good answers please :)

  1. yep, all animals adapt to their environment and technology is part of human environment

  2. i think in the future, the next step is to merge humans and machines.

A couple of months ago i was reading an article about rats that'd been trained to move left and right and police are using it to hunt for mines and bombs.

Personally, i'm interested to what level people will take the man/machine mix, and if a superspecies such as the borg would in fact come into existance.
