  1. well first of all they don't give eachother injections, they inject needles into oranges.

secondly, it depends what type of doc you want to be, whether emergency or post-op care.

thirdly, you probably won't be an emergency doc or work in the operating theater if you faint at the sight of blood, can't look at someones insides or put up with someone vomiting.

lastly, if you're a smart kid, have a good personality and you're good with people then you should do ok.

good luck with your future  = ]

  2. i also hate needles and i can't look at peoples organs and stuff. but i'm going to become a doctor. a doctor doesn't have to deal with needles and look at peoples organs you can just be a family doctor that checks patients to see if there sick or not. i think you should become a doctor. you can take your courses in collage and if you don't want to be a doctor then you can major in something else.its not a big problem to switch majors. but if your smart i would recomend you to become a doctor the world can use someone as smart as you.

  3. well i dont think you can be a doc. if you are afraid of needles. sorry!

  4. My recommendation, quite frankly, is that you wait until college and get some more insight into what being a physician is really like before you start making a decision.  If drawing blood is a difficult thing for you to handle, you may find that there are worse things to deal with in clinical medicine  Just wait a few years and then you'll be in a better position to make the right choice for you.

  5. oh well if you are going to a med schoole first rule is medicine have nothing called as grose seondly nope they dont give injections to each other i mean students and not liking woundn't really effect unless you faint when seeing blood or something!!!

  6. you have the world at your feet -follow your passion.

  7. I think that you can be anything you want to be if you just work at it.

  8. in med school, they show you a dead body (donated to the university) and they dissect it, some classes dedicated to showing the muscles and you will see what a person's complete insides look like, so if you cant handle blood then you wont be able to handle this.

you should try an internship at a hospital and see what it is really like to be a doctor, you might get over your phobia once you have been exposed to it enough times.

  9. nope if u can't look at organs, skin, blood, private parts, etc. ur pretty much not able to be a dcotor..u have to really have a passion for Biology in order to be a doctor or else it will feel like ur working every single day and u will absolutely h8 it b/c u dont enjoy what ur doing

and oh yea in med school, u also have to dissect a dead body..no matter what area of medicine u r going into..u still have to do it

    Good Luck!

Of course you can be a doctor!

Every high schooler faints when seeing blood.

You all take things so personally! This is inherent to being a teenager, enjoy while it lasts. When you grow out of this, you will find it much easier to cope with other peoples issues and organs and bodies and 'stuff' in general.

Doctors with good personalities are wonderful and the rest you will learn along the way.

Good for you. Go for it!

PS nobody IS a good doctor all of a sudden, it is a process, it takes time to BECOME one and you need to work at it daily to STAY one.
