  1. maybe, but no matter how hard someone trains it will come down to talent sum ppl dont train hard but run in sub 4's but many who work their asss off but still cant break 5

  2. no

  3. Well, if you were Alan Webb, than maybe...he runs 3:46 and in high school he could break 4 minutes.

But if you run a 6 flat right now, then you could end up being a pretty decent varsity runner when you get to high school!

  4. 6 minute flat is a pretty nice time..But you would have to drop 2 whole minutes to break the 4 barrier...Maybe try breaking 5 or something.

If you train hard, seven years from now you might be under 5 and in the 4 range..I doubt under 4. If you were meant to break 4, you'll probably be running in the early 5:00 minutes or so by now.

  5. Batman did it on the old 60s show, so I dont see why you cant

  6. your time is very good for your age...but no, you wont hit that time.  sorry to put you donw, but (correct me if i'm wrong), that's a world record you want to break.  dont se the bar too high...try breaking 5 minutes first, then see if you can break 4:40 or something...dont go for the world record.

  7. unfortunately, i agree with the others here.  breaking 5 is very difficult, and breaking 4...well, that's 2 full minutes off your current time, and getting down anywhere from 5 is hard enough as it is.  i'm afraid most of us were never meant to break 4...

  8. im just gonna go out on a limb here and say the mile record will never be broken.

  9. No, regardless of what you can do now, and what type of training you have the odds of you breaking the world record are slim and none.

No disrespect, but realize how few people are ever record setters.

  10. I don't think you'll be able to do it. At least, if you ever get to a 3:43 mile, the record will probably be even faster. My reasoning is that you're almost 13, and your time is 6:00. There are some incredible runners out there that demolish your time at your age (not saying that you're bad, but some people are really good). In the past few years, I've seen a 13 year old run a 4:50 mile, and 13 and 14 year olds running 5:10-5:30's and such. The kid who ran a 4:50 at 13, he might break the world record. Who knows. If he can run a 4:50, he probably has what it takes to continue that training for years and break the world record. Chances are, you might end up training the same amount as him, but he'll be the one to break it, based on: where's he's at now, and he probably has natural talent in him.
