i was in Asbury park NJ yesterday to go see a tna show. When i got back to my car i had two improper parking tickets on my car one was at 6:40 pm and the other one was at 7:15 pm.The place where i park look like a parking place.

It had no yellow lines or no sighs that said don't park here or any thing that would make it seem like it was not parking spot and there was a another car on the left side of me they where park there before i even got there and they had no tickets. Is there any way i can fight the tickets

  1. please READ the tickets to see if they were for parking or another violation. If there were no signs forbidding parking, you may have been cited for something else.

  2. go take a picture of the place you parked if you live close by to prove that it was hard to tell it wasn't a spot. You might as well fight it, what can you loose?

  3. Sure, hire a $150 an hour lawyer to fight two parking tickets.  Do like the rest of New Yorkers, ignore them.

  4. Argue that the ticket violates the presumption of innocence.

If you lose in traffic court; sue the city. When you are brought before a court, is it the prosecution's burden to prove it was you.
