Do you think i change my pistons on my 08crf250 myself?

im not sure if i should change my pisons myself or get the people in the motobike shop to change them for me

  1. this will give you a good idea of what consist of rebuilding the top end, it is for a KTM but the Honda will be similar.  with a manual, some patients, some mechanical inclination,  a lot of organization, and proper tools it can be done by most anyone.

  2. It takes basic mechanical knowledge. you can do it yourself if you can take the jug off......

  3. its actually not just the pistons you change. it also involves the tightness of the nuts and bolts, the proper sealants, the rings, the size of piston, if its rebored you really need professional help. to get you out of the hassle, time, oil and dirt. better get a pro. or first do it yourself, and if you think your in trouble then call the pros...

  4. make sure you change all of them on that bike

  5. DO NOT DO IT YOURSELF     unless your a mechanic

    i tried once and it didnt work. also its a four sroke, i find changing pistons harder on a four stroke other than a two stroke.
