  1. Be a little more specific.  what kind of dance are we talking about?  Ballet? Jazz?  African? Krump!?  It isn't hard to learn a certain routine, especially a basic hiphop routine.  But even to make a basic hiphop routine look good it takes more then just doing the steps.  It's the atitude, the passion, the power.  If you have those, yes, you can look ok doing a hiphop routine in a month with lots practice.  But it will be much hard to look good doing freestyle.  Looking good doing freestyle takes I say at least half year of watching alot of dance videos and practice almost everyday.  Also depend on your natual ability.  If you are serious about dancing then I suggest you start with good fountations.  Ballet or jazz.  If you just do it for fun you can start going to hiphop classes.

  2. If you have the dedication, then yes

  3. well, yes and no. It depends how good you want to get, and what style of dance! In any style, you could probably learn the real basics in a month (depending on how many classes you take and how often you practise, as well as you own ability.) But you wouldn't be able to learn very much! You couldn't learn any hard steps or anything, just basics. It tales years and years and years to get as good as those professionals dancers you see, and even they are still learning every day!

  4. well I used to be a dance teacher...a month is a little optimistic, but it can be done depending on how fast you catch on, what kind of dance, how often you go, how good the teacher is, etc. Good luck!

  5. Depends on how advanced you expect to get, how hard you try, and how much natural talent you have.

I have been involved with music all my life, and dance everyday.  My mom and I will break into salsa while we cook dinner!  So, I could probably pick up a new ballroom dance fairly quickly given my experiance in latin dance and ballroom, while someone who doesn't even know how to hear the beat would take much longer.

Where are you starting from, and where do you expect to get?
