Do you think i could write to the magazine 'vogue' requesting them to send me an old issue?

but should i send them a cheque after they have said yes

or with the orginal letter?

or is it a stupid idea

If you go to their website  you  can   oreder one through them  as long as it is  not a issue  from before  computers.

Sure, you could ask.  Don't send payment until you find out if they have it/are willing to send it/ how much it costs.
