  1. I don't know if you have a borderline personality disorder; doesn't seem that way to me from what I have read.  I think you are in a very dysfunctional family situation and that you have low self esteem for a reason.  It is no wonder that you are depressed.  You need to talk to someone that you trust about what is going on and how it makes you feel.  Anorexia and cutting are ways that people punish themselves for various reasons.  I wish I were there to help you and let you know that there is hope for you (THERE IS!!!  . . . and you are worth whatever it takes to get you on a healthy path to recovery.)  No one deserves to hear the words that have been said to you.  You are not worthless or meaningless in this world.  Your parents may be overwhelmed and not know how to handle stress but, they certainly do not win any awards for how they treat you.  Your Mom may not know what to do about your anorexia and cutting so she says that you should be in foster care.  You do need to be somewhere where you can feel safe and loved.  There may be a counselor at your school or at church who could help you and who you could talk to.  There are groups for people who are dealing with anorexia and cutting and I would encourage you to get involved and see what help is available to you.  There is a world out there for you to explore and appreciate if onlyl you can get past this insanity in your life right now.  Suicide is never the answer.  Please talk with your friend.  Do not be afraid to tell him how you are feeling.  You need to have some help with many of these very important issues and there is help to be found.  Let him guide you.  It seems as if he does care.  I am sorry for all you are going through.  I am praying that you will get help and find out who you really are and end up knowing that you are someone who deserves more out of life than you are getting.  Good luck to you.  I know you can get through this!!

  2. The only person who can tell you is a psychiatrist.

  3. Your name "with love comes hate" indicates that you might have BPD. BPD's hate intimacy, they associate it with bad endings, abandonment and hatred.

Self mutilation, eating disorders, suicidal ideations and chronic feelings of emptiness (all of which you describe) are typical of BPD.

Ultimately none of us can diagnose you here. But from the limited amount you describe, I'd have to say it sounds like BPD.

  4. i think you are very depressed and have do not like yourself very much. Has the counciller helped in anyway

  5. You are seriously depressed.  You dont have borderline personality disorder.  You really should go see a psychiatrist and allow him to put you on an antidepressant.  You will feel better in several weeks.

You also need to correct the therapist you are currently seeing, and tell her you arent going to tell her anything if it is not kept in confidence, even from your parents.  Also tell her you will file a complaint with her licensing board, and you know how to do it (all you have to do is tell me the state, and what group licenses her), and her license will be pulled in a second.  I dont know who is paying for your visits, but you can also tell her you will file a complaint with them too.

That should get her attention that you arent playing.  Tell her you want a referal to a psychiatrist as well.

  6. From what you are going through, I would be shocked if it didn't have any effect on you. You have a lot of emotional trauma occurring. Don't be afraid to talk to your therapist, but tell the therapist why you are afraid to talk. Once that fear is dealt with you can get on with the other problems. But first of all, you are quite normal. You feel unloved, unwanted and don't see any self worth. There are more of us out here like you than you know. A chemical imbalance, behavior therapy and talking about your problems will all come up. You will get through this.
